The Summit: A Golfer’s Paradise
Gary Marple knows an excellent golf course when he steps on one. A golfer for nearly 30 years, Marple finds life at The Summit—minutes away from his two favorite courses—just right for hitting the links.
“I enjoy living within walking distance to London Downs and Ivy Hill golf courses,” Marple said. “It’s convenient and very easy to access both from here.”
Marple and his wife, Marcia, also a golfer spending more time quilting these days, have been active at both courses. “Both courses are in good condition and the senior memberships are great.”
A retired civil engineer, Marple plays two to three times a week. “It’s just a good game.”
Marple said he and his wife moved to The Summit based on the positive reviews from friends and residents. “The Summit is such a friendly place. We’ve always heard really good things and especially with the new ownership of LifeSpire of Virginia, we jumped at the chance to get in here,” he said.
The couple has lived all over the country. “We love it here. The Summit offers everything we need and that’s why we chose to live here.”
